LDM Triple is a comfortable, non-invasive ultrasound treatment.
A conductive gel is applied to the skin before the treatment head is moved methodically across the selected area. There are no needles and the surface of the skin is not intentionally resurfaced or ablated.
Most clients can return to their usual routine immediately afterwards, although temporary warmth or mild pinkness may occasionally occur.
LDM triple is suitable for a wide range of concerns and is safe for those who are pregnant or undergoing IVF treatment. However, please inform your therapist of any medical conditions, open wounds or broken skin, skin infections, medications or recent procedures so we can determine whether treatment is appropriate for you.

LDM Triple works with your skin at multiple depths, delivering intelligent ultrasound stimulation without overwhelming the surface.
LDM stands for Local Dynamic Micromassage. Unlike conventional ultrasound systems that typically deliver one frequency at a time, LDM Triple rapidly switches between three ultrasound frequencies within the same treatment sequence.
The technology combines 1, 3 and 10 MHz, or 3, 10 and 19 MHz, allowing us to deliver targeted ultrasound stimulation from deeper tissue through to the more superficial layers.
This makes it a beautifully versatile treatment for skin that needs support rather than aggressive resurfacing. We use it to improve firmness, texture and overall skin quality, while helping stressed, redness-prone or blemish-prone skin look calmer and more balanced.
With no needles and minimal downtime, LDM Triple can be enjoyed as a focused 30-minute treatment or added to an existing D.Thomas treatment for an extra 15 minutes.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is there any downtime?
LDM has very minimal / no downtime. Most clients can return to their normal routine immediately. Depending on your individual skin, temporary warmth or mild pinkness may occasionally occur.
How many treatments will I need?
There is no universal course that is right for every skin.
Some clients may use LDM Triple occasionally to complement their existing treatment programme, while others may benefit from a structured series of standalone sessions.
For this reason, we offer packages of six add-on treatments and packages of eight or twelve standalone treatments.
Your therapist will recommend treatment frequency based on your starting point, skin concerns, response to treatment and any other technologies being incorporated into your programme.
Why would my therapist recommend a course?
Like many skin treatments, LDM Triple can be used progressively rather than expecting one session to address every concern.
A course allows your therapist to work consistently with the skin and reassess its response throughout your programme.
Our packages are structured to support this approach while offering better value for clients having regular treatments.
Is LDM the same as HIFU?
No. Although both use ultrasound, they are different technologies with different treatment approaches.
HIFU – High Intensity Focused Ultrasound – concentrates ultrasound energy at specific depths to create targeted thermal treatment zones and is principally used at D.Thomas for lifting and tightening.
LDM Triple uses rapidly changing therapeutic ultrasound frequencies moved continuously across the treatment area. It is used as a broader skin-quality treatment rather than as a HIFU lifting procedure.
Is LDM Triple for different skin tones?
LDM Triple uses ultrasound rather than pigment-targeting laser or light energy.
Skin tone therefore does not influence treatment in the same way that it can with some light-based technologies. Your overall skin condition, medical history and treatment goals will still be assessed before we recommend treatment.
Does LDM Triple require a patch test?
No patch test is required.
As with all treatments at D.Thomas Clinic, we will still review your skin, medical history and treatment suitability before proceeding.
LDM Triple
Your LDM Triple treatment is tailored around the condition of your skin on the day.
We may begin with a light peel or hydradermabrasion to gently prepare the skin, followed by around 20 minutes of LDM Triple using a targeted serum selected for your skin. The treatment is then finished with around 5 minutes of LED or Byonik cold laser, depending on what your skin needs most.
This layered approach allows us to combine preparation, targeted ultrasound and a final skin-supporting technology within one complete treatment.
