Dermaceutic Mela Peel

Our Dermaceutic Mela Peel is a medium-depth chemical peel treatment used to improve the appearance of the skin by removing the outer layers of skin cells. It is typically used to improve the appearance of sun-damaged skin, uneven skin tone, fine lines and wrinkles, acne scarring, and other skin irregularities.

Our Dermaceutic Mela Peel involves applying the chemical solution to the skin, with a concoction of acids like mandelic acid, idebenone, emblica, retinol and salicylic acid, skin can be smoother and more even-toned, helping lines and pores to gradually diminish as new collagen is stimulated.

Our Dermaceutic Mela Peel is one of our non-laser treatments of choice for combating pigmentation. Suitable for all skin types and photo types. To optimise the results of the peel and minimise any potential irritation, it is recommended that you use the Dermaceutic Light Ceutic home care product as a pre-treatment. This product helps to prepare the skin for the peel, ensuring that you achieve the best possible results.

A damaged skin barrier not only leads to irritation, reactivity and inflammation but it also loses the ability to self-repair.

🧴That’s where skincare comes in...

These are 4 skincare ingredients that help to strengthen and rebuild your skin barrier:

— CERAMIDES
Ceramides are a form of lipids found naturally in the skin barrier’s building blocks, using a product containing ceramides will help to replenish and strengthen the skin barrier.

— HYALURONIC ACID
Hyaluronic acid is a humectant that can help to deliver hydration to the deeper layers of the skin, promoting moisture retention at surface level.

— NIACINAMIDE
Niacinamide is an antioxidant which also helps to restore hydration and skin barrier balance through it’s
anti-inflammatory properties.

— SQUALANE
Squalane is another lipid found naturally in the skin barrier, incorporating this ingredient will help to rebuild the glue of the skin barrier.

If your skin feels tight, dry or irritated try adding one of these barrier-loving ingredients to your routine.
